Frome-based counselling charity We Hear You (WHY) has announced the results of its 2018 ‘Design a Christmas card’ competition.
WHY’s director Melissa Hillier found it too difficult to single out two winners from the 50+ entries received, so the charity has decided to print four children’s designs this year. The charity is also selling Christmas cards featuring a snowy Catherine Hill scene by local artist Amy Yates.
Gemma Wilkes at WHY says, “We all love the Christmas card competition and judging gets very heated! It wasn’t easy to pick four winners, let alone two. Congratulations to Freddie, Willow, Elijah and Iyla and our runner-up Holly – we look forward to seeing your designs in print.”
We Hear You’s Christmas cards are on sale at the WHY Gallery on Stony Street and at Cards for Good Causes at St John’s Church and cost £3 for a pack of 10 children’s designs or £4 for the Amy Yates design.
We Hear You provides free professional counselling to anyone affected by cancer or another life-threatening condition at eight locations across BaNES, Somerset and Wiltshire. They also offer online counselling. For more information please email info@wehearyou .org.uk or call 01373455255.
