A new service created by local Frome charity, We Hear You, will support employers in managing the impact of cancer and life-threatening conditions within their workforce.
‘WHYinwork’ offers seminars to help businesses support their employees affected by cancer and other life-threatening conditions, and are for managers and HR professionals in particular. They can also provide in-house training for managers and offer specialist counselling and therapeutic support for employees.
A seminar will be held in Frome on Wednesday 25th September, 1:30pm to 4:30pm at Rook Lane Chapel.
“Every year in the UK, more than 120,000 people of working age receive a cancer diagnosis. With this figure rising every organisation should be prepared, for the good of their employees and business,” said a spokesperson for the charity.
In its 30th year, We Hear You provides counselling and emotional support for patients, families, friends and carers who have been affected or bereaved by cancer or any other life-threatening condition, across Somerset, Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire.
