Weather recorded statistics for Frome this January 2019

Rainfall for this January 2019 = 34.5 mm,  and in the old £ = 1.35 inches.

There was recorded 4 days of slight drizzle conditions where N.M. was recorded; N.M = Not Measureable .

January was completely dry of measureable rainfall until the 16/01/19.

January 31/01/19 recorded 15 mm of snow, this  accumulation was recorded from a level board. The equation of snow to rain ration not yet investigated, therefore the January 2019 statistic may be higher. The average rainfall  for a  Frome January over the past 18 years = 95.5 mm.

So this January of 2019 was exceptional low, but not quite matching the January of 2006 when 31 mm was a low  recorded statistic.

All rainfall readings  were taken from a Met/check Cu Rain gauge i.a.w. Air Ministry form 1122.

Highest D.T.T. = 10 Degrees C recorded @15,00 hrs 07/01,11/01, 25/01/19. Lowest D.T.T. = 2.0 Degrees C recorded @15.00 hrs 04/01/19. Lowest N.T.T. = Minus 5.0 degrees C, recorded during the night 30/31/19.

Highest N.T.T. = 9.0 Degrees C , recorded during the night 12/13, 13/14 /19.

There was recorded 11 mornings @ 0700 hrs visible ground & air frosts .

The average D.T.T. for this January 2019 = 5.8 Degrees C. The Average D.T.T. for January 2018 = 6.8 Degrees C. The Average D.T.T. for January 2017  = 2.0 Degrees C.

So on reflection this January of 2019 was 1.0 degree colder than 2018. All temperatures were recorded from within a S.S. from two different thermometers.

Highest Barometric Atmospheric air pressure = 1031 mb recorded 9,10,11,12, /01/19. Lowest Barometric Atmospheric air pressure = 995 mb, recorded 31/01/19 .

Highest wind speed = 39 mph, Vector Direction N.W. recorded 27/01/19 .
