The Wellbeing Expo Somerset will be held at the Cheese & Grain on 23rd October and organisers say it will be a landmark event for Frome and the wider community.
The day will feature world-class speakers in its talk and workshop programme, a sell-out exhibit area, a live entertainment stage and demos on the nutrition stage, plus healthy food provided by the Cheese and Grain’s Café, featuring plant based recipes.
Marketing manager at the Cheese & Grain Tracey Rawlins said, “The purpose of the event is to inspire and deepen a balanced and happy life for all. To this end, we will be showcasing support structures and services for challenging times.
“We provide a platform to engage with expert practitioners. There will be tasters such as having your Chinese pulse taken, your Ayurvedic Dosha determined, Thai Massage, Podiatry Laser Treatments, Shamanic Healing and more. You will be exposed to new products, services, and a wealth of information from raw food making, chocolate making, conflict resolution, stress management to chanting, laughter yoga, foraging and much, much more.
“To achieve this, we have searched local resources to find people such as Martin John, a highly qualified Chinese Medicine Practitioner; Felipe Viveros, the European Coordinator of the Growth National Happiness Project in Bhutan; Sarah Williams, a well-travelled Practitioner of Ayurvedic Medicine and Judy Baker, raw food guru and author. The inspiration comes from further afield as well; we have exhibitors from all over the country – The Department Store for the Mind from London; the Happiness Museum London by Shamash Alidina who the is author of the book Mindfulness for Dummies and founder of Teach Mindfulness; Project Coordinator Dr Larch Maxey from Network of Wellbeing in Devon as well as Michael Ormistan and Candida Valentino, world class Mongolian Overtone Chanting Performers – not to be missed on our live stage and as a workshop!
“Amazingly, all of this is presented to the community with the option of a Pay it Forward ticket scheme. Prepaid tickets from the community (only £3) can be taken in form of a post-it note from a board next to the Cheese and Grain’s Box office and exchanged into a real ticket – no questions asked! Tickets are available at the Cheese and Grain Box Office and online www. wellbeingsomerset. com.
“Book your reduced price early bird ticket online and consider paying one forward. Download our program in advance so you don’t miss a talk on our ‘Garden of Happiness’, where it’s all about community Wellbeing, a demo on our Live Nutrition Stage or a performance on our Live Performance Stage. We do highly recommend booking workshops in advance as spaces are limited. Join us in an awesome adventure into the world of Wellbeing. We are all worth it, we all deserve it!”
