The first ‘Wessex Week’ organised by Wessex Counselling proved a great success, raising in excess of £400 towards providing low cost, and in some cases free, counselling to local people.
It saw the launch of the ‘Cake for Counselling’ Scheme where people are invited to bake a cake to sell to friends and colleagues, with the proceeds going to Wessex Counselling. Thanks to all who baked and bought cakes during the week.
The week was rounded off with a benefit gig by local country funk band The Gunville Flats who played at The Cornerhouse Public House.
Wessex Counselling is proud to be a part of the community and are able to offer counselling for a wide range of issues to adults, couples, children and young people.
Jane Bennett of Wessex Counselling said, “Thank you to all our students, trustees, staff and associates who have helped organise and supported the events during 2014, and we look forward to more exciting fundraising opportunities in 2015.
“To get involved, or to find out more about our services, please contact Wessex Counselling on 01373 453355 or via our website www.@wessex counselling.co.uk.”
