What if you and your neighbours could change the world?

FROME’S Neighbourhood Network is hosting a unique event which will allow attendees to explore how every local person can get involved in creating a thriving and resilient community.  

The event will highlight the Neighbourocracy model, which is a way to organise local democratic mutual aid – a perfect way to respond to the climate, cost of living and energy crises!  The free event takes place on Wednesday 12th October from 7pm to 9pm at Frome Town Hall or you can join online. 

Attendees will learn about the larger global movement and get answers from the experts who are bringing Neighbourocracy from its roots in India to the rest of the world. 

Annabelle Macfadyen of the Neighbourhood Networks said, “We’re excited about this opportunity to learn more about Neighbourhood Parliaments around the world and how we might achieve something similar in Frome.  

“During the pandemic, we saw neighbours taking initiative and offering support to each other in a challenging time. How can we build on this and come together on our streets to find ways of addressing local issues, including the current cost of living crisis, as well as enjoying being part of a more friendly and connected neighbourhood? 

“We hope that lots of people will come along to gain inspiration and ask questions that will help us all think about how we can build more connected and resilient communities where we live.”
