WE Hear You (WHY) has appointed a new community fundraiser to the team, who has already gotten stuck into fundraising for the charity just after a week of being in post by running the TCS London Marathon.
Robbie Newton, otherwise known as #charitymorphman, is by no means new to the fundraising game and has raised over £130,000 for various charities to date, often running in a Morphman costume to help raise awareness for his chosen charity.
“In 2017, Robbie won the Macmillan Corporate Volunteer Award for his fundraising efforts whilst working at Travis Perkins,” says a spokesperson for the charity, Lisa Darby.
“We Hear You would like to thank Devizes Running Club for giving Robbie his place at this year’s marathon and for the runners there, who have supported him with training along the way.
“The big question is: what colour will Robbie’s next Morphman costume be now that he is working for We Hear You? WHY will be carrying out a vote on their social media accounts, so the community can have their say.”
We Hear You provides counselling and emotional support for patients, families, friends and carers who have been affected or bereaved by cancer or any other life-threatening condition, across Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
