LOCAL musician Artey Williams has won the Climate@Christmas competition which asked local musicians to create a song about the climate and environment with a festive twist.
Artey won a day recording at the Bert Jansch professional studio at the Cheese and Grain in Frome and was able to record several new tracks for his next album during the session on Thursday 2nd March.
James Godman, the sponsor of the awards said, “Milo, our host and studio manager for the day was wonderful in helping to support Artey as he laid down six or seven new tracks for his next album.
“The studio is wonderfully inspiring, the support you receive is second to none and the relaxing ambience provides a very creative space for musicians.
“The Climates@Christmas will be run again this year; it’s a free competition for musicians to connect, share, support and inspire others plus all have the opportunity of winning a life-changing prize.”
