The Griffin are holding a world food special on Wednesday 24th September with guest chef, David Jessup, serving up Thali cuisine to give pub goers a real taste of all things Indian!
Thali is a North Indian meal made up of various dishes – a bit like tapas – and often consisting of rice, dal, vegetables, roti, papad, yoghurt and small amounts of chutney or pickle. A real treat for anyone who wants to try it all!
David, who has worked for the award winning Thali Café in Bristol will be serving up food at The Griffin’s regular Wednesday world food night, which have been running since November 2013.
Manager, Ellen Porteous said, “The food nights have really taken off since we launched them last year. With the help of our excellent local cooks, we’ve been serving up food from all over the world for almost a year now and long may it continue!
“The nights are designed to offer people a cheap and informal alternative to eating out, with the added fun of trying something completely different every week.
“We’ve never had Thali before, so this evening is sure to be great fun and a really delicious experience for the food lovers of Frome (and beyond).”
David will be serving up his North Indian tasters from 6.30pm – 8.30pm on Wednesday 24th September and a meal is priced as it always is – just £5 per person.
Booking is not required; food is served on a first come first served basis. Come along early to avoid disappointment. ‘Under 18s’ welcome until 10.00pm with a meal. For more information visit www.fromegriffin.co.uk or follow on facebook.com/ thegriffinfrome or Twitter @GriffinFrome
