Edventure: Frome are inviting local young adults to join their flagship “Edventure start-up course.” The free, part-time course for people (aged 18-35ish) to become part of a team and gain real, transferable experience by starting-up a real community enterprise in Frome.

Johannes Moeller, MD of Edventure says, “In this time, it is more important than ever that we look for opportunities in which we can engage and help and contribute to society and that’s what we are offering – something that is engaging with the big questions of our time.”
In the past, people have travelled from all over the world to take part in Start-Up and students have started-up a diverse array of community enterprises, several of which have been replicated elsewhere in the UK and overseas. Last year, Edventure students impacted by Covid-19 and were nevertheless able to create “Frome Community Exhibition” – a moving exhibition of works created by the people of Frome during Lockdown and “ding!” – a pop-up, mobile bike workshop offering free monthly bike workshops for Frome.
Jake (pictured), a student on the most recent Edventure start-up course that started “ding!” says, “The best thing about my journey with Edventure was the people, the ethos and the wisdom I got to experience alongside our fantastic project. They’ve given me a new confidence and direction in life, and I’m going to carry their amazing ways of working together with me forever.”
Start-up is running for 11 weeks from 8th March. It is open to everyone aged 18-35, no qualifications are required, just a willingness to get stuck in and make ideas real. Places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis so apply ASAP for the best chance of a place. Edventure are equipped to respond to the situation with Covid-19 and have alternative delivery modes available if necessary to ensure the safety of Edventure students and staff.
