Frome and District Young Embroiderers won prizes in the Embroiderers’ Guild National De Denne competition titled ‘Imprisoned Splendour’.
In the 12-15 age group Charlotte Serle was the winner with ‘Hidden Oak’ and Emile Serle had a special mention with ‘Hidden Under the Water’. In the 9-11 age group Tilly Sudworth was placed second with ‘Bird trapped in a Cage’. All the pieces were on show at the Embroiderers’ Guild open meeting on the 8th July.
The Young Embroiderers meet once a month on a Saturday morning in Frome and explore all types of textiles. For further details telephone Margaret on 01225 764691
