TWO young Frome trampolinists have won gold, silver and bronze medals representing Great Britain in the Scalabis Cup in Portugal at the start of July.
Izzie Hunt, 13, won a team gold and an individual bronze and David Knowles won a team silver. The pair are part of Frome-based Evolution Trampolining and Double Mini Trampoline Club.
“Both David and Izzie helped their respective teams to take medals, David the silver team medal and Izzie the gold team medal,” said coaches Sarah Hunt and Miikee Selmes. “They then both made individual finals; unfortunately for David a small error kept him out of medal position but newcomer and Selwood Academy pupil Izzie managed to hold her nerve to take the bronze medal in the 13-14 age group.
“We are super proud of the two of them and how they conducted themselves on an international stage. They both work incredibly hard and they deserve every success.”
