Young singers in Frome Youth Choir are busy learning lots of new songs for their annual free summer concert, all with an animal theme. It’ll be so purrfect, ewe won’t want to miss it!
The free concert at 4.30pm on Saturday 6 July in Christ Church in Frome is part of the Frome Festival and is guaranteed to get everyone feline like summer is here at last. It will feature a monster selection of moosic, including: ‘Blackbird’ (Paul McCartney and John Lennon); ‘The Hippopotamus Song’ (Flanders and Swann); ‘Puffin’ (Florence Page Jacques); and ‘Seal Lullaby’ (Eric Whitacre)
The choir, which is for young people from Frome and surrounding areas aged 6-14 years, is run by musical director, Steph Collishaw, who has been a music teacher for over 23 years.
She said, “Our young singers have been working really hard this term to learn lots of fun, new songs, so please join us for a fun and free concert and stay for refreshments after.
“Any child who brings this article to the concert with all the udderly baaaad animals puns circled will koalafy for a free cupcake! No kitten!
