WHYoutdoors course
Following the success of our recent taster day, we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be running our planned WHY outdoors course for people living with and beyond cancer this summer, starting Wednesday 24th June for six weeks. At the time of writing it is likely that the course will start online, but we’re hoping to hold some of the later sessions in a natural setting, together as a group.

National Voices and the Centre for Mental Health
Our colleagues at National Voices are doing some research in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health into the emotional impact of long-term health conditions on the patient, their loved ones, and the professionals they work with. Involvement is via a telephone interview, or, if you prefer, an online survey.
If you could help with the research, please contact Jo Wilton at jo.wilton@centreformentalhealth.org.uk or call 07939 213215
Telephone crisis support service
We’re offering a telephone crisis support service for those affected by Covid-19. This new service is running alongside our existing counselling services, which are being delivered by phone and Zoom video conferencing while restrictions continue. People who access the Covid-19 service can have up to four telephone sessions with a WHY counsellor and are welcome to access the counselling service after finishing.

Join Rachel Clark for the Virtual Reunion Mile

We’re proud to still be providing services and determined to continue, but we face a huge funding shortfall this financial year. If you ran a 365 for WHY mile with Rachel Clark last year (or if you didn’t), please join her this Friday at a time and place of your choice for a virtual reunion mile.
The rules are as per last year’s challenge: wear a WHY t-shirt, run a mile and make a donation (if you can). Please tag us in your selfies on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and liven up our day!
