2nd Frome Rainbows have been given high visibility safety jackets from the Finlay Foundation.
The Finlay Foundation was set up in memory of Finlay Connor who died whilst walking to Woodborough school with his mum Nicki in 2011. Finlay lived near Frome when he was a baby and had many Frome friends.
Nicki set up the charity to promote road safety with children. She has been raising money ever since and three years ago leader of 2nd Frome Rainbows, Kirstie Jones joined her to abseil down cliffs near Bristol Clifton Suspension Bridge. Kirstie said, “It was incredible and something I know I will never forget.”
If you know a playgroup, community group or a first school who would like some safety jackets, please contact the Finlay foundation at www.finlayfoundation.co.uk and just mention the article in the Frome Times. So far the charity has donated to 1st and 2nd Frome Rainbows, 4th Frome Brownies, St Johns First school and 5th Frome Beavers .
