FROME Times’ Person of the Year 2018, Rachel Clark, joined by 52 supporters, has reached the 50th mile on her journey to run a mile a day for 365 days, raising money for We Hear You.
Rachel, who won the public vote to be Frome’s Person of the Year 2018, said, “I wanted 50 people to join me but we got 52! I was overwhelmed by the support which is growing daily.
“Thank you team, your support and donations were absolutely invaluable, especially on days like these, bit chilly, bit dark but we certainly brightened up that field and you all smashed it!
“When the days get longer we’ll sort a better time, I appreciate those that managed to leave work early or travelled nearly an hour to get to us.”
People from the local community are able to sign up via the event website, www.365forwhy.co.uk to track Rachel’s progress and routes and to join Rachel on one or more of her runs – the only conditions are that participants must run in a WHY t-shirt and make a donation to WHY.
