The Good Heart has been awarded a £1,000 grant from the Asda Community Foundation.
Based on Palmer Street, The Good Heart is known as Frome’s community centre of kindness; it is a volunteer-led community group focusing on kindness as a way to encourage health and happiness and alleviate isolation and loneliness in Frome.
It runs a cafe offering free hot drinks and affordable meals in a pay-it-forward scheme; hosts a range of wellbeing spaces, events and like-minded groups as well as running the annual Frome Kindness Festival.
“They are not just a cafe but a community space to help us all be more kind,” said Frome Asda’s community champion Jackie Scott. “Kindness is their middle name.”
