Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy (WCP) is a local counselling and training organisation providing nationally accredited psychodynamic training.
The Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling is BACP / BPC accredited and the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy training BPC accredited. To be considered for the diploma, it is a requirement to have completed the WCP foundation certificate (or equivalent).
WCP also offers a 10-week ‘Introduction to Counselling and Listening Skills’ course which runs each term and specialised courses including ‘Counselling Young People in Schools and Educational Settings’, ‘Infant Observation’ and ‘Couples Counselling’ as well as running a varied programme of CPD events throughout the year.
The training is run in conjunction with the busy counselling and psychotherapy service offering affordable and low-cost sessions in Frome, Bath, Bristol and Street.
An open morning will be held on Saturday 16th March in the centre of Frome for anyone wishing to find out more about the training. There will be the opportunity to meet with current trainees and staff, hear a presentation and ask questions.
