ACTIVE and In Touch has thanked Sainsbury’s Frome for a “very generous” donation of £700 through the Sainsbury’s Community Fund.
The group report, “In its support for the community, Sainsbury’s head office allocates funds to local charities, led by their community champion, Kay Bennett. Sainsbury’s Frome store runs annual fundraising activities charities but has, as a result of the pandemic, had to put these on hold this year.”
Tracey Rawlins, community fundraiser for Active and In Touch received the donation whilst visiting the store to say thank you to Charlie Cooper, Sainsbury’s customer experience manager. She said “Frome is a fabulous town, rich in community spirit and it’s wonderful that Sainsbury’s staff have recognised the great work Active and in Touch does to help combat loneliness and isolation. We are looking forward to working with Sainsbury’s later in the year when restrictions have lifted. A huge thank you to Kay, Charlie and all the Sainsbury’s staff”
