A FROME resident, Di Dudden has completed a gruelling, 970-mile cycle ride around the length of the UK to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
Di started her expedition on 5th September at Lands End, cycling almost 1,000 miles and by the time she crossed the finish line a month later at John O’Groats, she had raised over £2,000.
Di said, “It was the most amazing adventure cycling through some stunning countryside and our industrial heartland. Thank you to all who have donated. The support has been overwhelming.”
Di had only set herself a fundraising target initially of £500 and ended up breezing past that on the way to the finish.
She had the emotional support of her husband, Geoff, who followed her along the route every step of the way in the couple’s motorhome.
