FROME Musical Theatre Company is thrilled to be performing Shrek the musical at the Frome Memorial Theatre from Tuesday 3rd – Sunday 9th May.
Based on the story and characters from the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animation film, Shrek is the story of the swamp-dwelling ogre who, in a faraway kingdom embarks on a life-changing adventure in order to reclaim the deed to his land.
Joined by a wise-cracking donkey, this unlikely hero fights a fire-breathing dragon, rescues the feisty Princess Fiona and learns that real friendship and true love aren’t only found in fairy tales.
This hilarious and spectacular production turns the world of fairytales upside down in an all-singing, all-dancing, fast-paced musical comedy.
With all-new songs, and well-known favourite “I’m a Believer”, this spectacular stage musical brings to life the film’s cast of dysfunctional fairytale characters as well as an incredible set of castles, woodlands, a fiery dragon, plus larger than life, vibrant costumes, it truly is enchanting.
