HOLLY Stars, writer and star of smash-hit five-star West End show Death Drop, is coming to the Cheese and Grain on Thursday 1st December with her first live solo comedy show: Justice for Holly.
The debut show will be in Frome for one night only as an exclusive preview, ahead of appearing at Edinburgh Fringe Festival next summer.
Holly is one of the UK’s hottest drag talents, having worked alongside Ru-Paul US drag icons in her West end show at the Criterion Theatre. Described by Attitude Magazine as “a spitfire of a host”, Holly produces and presents a monthly Soho cabaret, Time of the Month, showcasing the finest of the UK’s comedy cabaret scene. Holly is also no stranger to the small screen, having written and starred in the Amazon Prime TV series, Holly Stars: Inspirational.
An assured way to see the audience laughing into the festive season, Justice for Holly sees Holly apprehended in Superdrug with a handbag full of shoplifted lipsticks. She’s innocent; of course she is. Join her in the store security office as she tells the story of how she got there, what she’s involved in, and why we should all be shouting from the rooftops “JUSTICE FOR HOLLY”.
On her upcoming Frome show, Holly said, “I’m so excited to be bringing my show to Frome. Frome is truly one of the most beautiful towns in England, which I have enjoyed many times as a visitor, so I can’t wait to perform there!”
Jade Preddy, of event organisers, Orange Juice Promotions, who want to see more LGBTQ+ performers celebrated in the region said, “Justice for Holly was hotly anticipated in London after the rave reviews of Holly’s West End show and sold out there within hours in the summer. It’s a real coup to welcome Holly to Frome and we welcome everyone to come and enjoy the show without having to travel to its usual home in the capital cities.”
