THE Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy office staff got involved in Mental Health Awareness Week in May, setting up shop at the Boyle Cross to promote mental health and wellbeing, whilst dressed in green.
Mental Health Awareness Week took place on 15th to 21st May and was themed this year on anxiety. Green was the official colour of the initiative, with the Mental Health Foundation encouraging people to hold a Wear It Green Day.
Training coordinator, Jane Bennet said, “Many people stopped to look at the display, chat and take a leaflet. A few donations went into the bucket too which will go towards offering low-cost counselling to local people in need of our services.”
Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy is based on King Street and provides talking therapies and training. For more information visit the Wessex Counselling & Psychotherapy website, https://wessexcp .co.uk/
