FROME’S much-loved local independent bookshop Hunting Raven Books has appointed a new manager. Tina Gaisford-Waller will join the team at the end of May.
Frome born and bred, Tina is thrilled to be taking on the role, “Hunting Raven occupies a special place in Frome’s affections, and is an important part of the town’s thriving independent scene.” said Tina, “The shop has had a cracking year already, making the regional shortlist of this year’s British Book Awards’ Independent Bookshop of the Year, and I cannot wait to build upon its considerable success.”
As a former publicity and marketing consultant for a well-known children’s book publisher, Tina is particularly excited to develop Hunting Raven’s events programme.
“I hope my passion and enthusiasm – for books and for Frome – will help to forge ever-stronger links between Hunting Raven and the community.
“It’s important to me that the shop offers something for everyone. If you’ve not popped in before, then do! You can be assured of a warm welcome, expert advice, and a brilliant selection of books, cards and gifts.
