Pupils at Oakfield Academy took part in an Activities Week recently, competing in a darts tournament and exploring the Frome Heritage Trail.
Children in Year 8 took part in the darts tournament, organised by professional darts MC Paul Starr and Simon Harding from Frome Town Football Club.
“Pupils competed to reach the grand final in the afternoon,” explained spokesperson for the school, Dawn Warren. “The winner was Olly Van Gorph, who won tickets to see Mr Cool Hand, Luke Humphries, at Frome Town Football Club.”
Pupils then explored the Frome Heritage Trail. “With Frome Town Council maps, they followed the historical route around the town with great interest,” says Dawn.
