WHAT do Benjamin Baker, Thomas Bunn and Jenson Button have in common?
As well as all being born in Frome, they also appear under the letter B in a new book on the town.
A-Z of Frome: Places-People-History has been written by local historians and authors Mick Davis and David Lassman.
And as the title suggests, the pair explore aspects of Frome alphabetically, from the significant and famous to the little-known and obscure. As well as the trio of people already mentioned, other subjects include a Roman hoard, UFO sightings and Tunnel networks.
The book is published this month by Amberley and is the first book the pair have written for the company.
David Lassman said, “Amberley obviously like what we have done, as we now have been commissioned to write several more books for them.
‘Although not the last word on Frome, despite the title, the contents reflect our own take on what we feel is fascinating about the town and its history.”
This is the fifth book the two authors have collaborated on, as well as writing the Frome Times Past column for this newspaper.
The duo were also featured in the media recently over their revelation William Shakespeare may have once visited the town.
