THE second Frome Kindness Festival, organised by local non-profit The Good Heart, enjoyed record levels of participation this year.
Director of The Good Heart Alison Murdoch said, “Over 500 people attended the many sell-out events; even more enjoyed activities at the Caravan of Kindness, at the library and markets and on the streets; and around 2,000 children participated in school assemblies and workshops during this annual opportunity to celebrate, practice and explore the many benefits of kindness.
“The Kindness Festival ended on Saturday with a feast of music and dancing at the Boyle Cross, kindly provided by the Frome Rock Choir, Frome Street Bandits and Mojo Moves, followed by a celebratory party for all the volunteers and supporters who made the week such a success.
Professor Robin Banerjee said, during the first Frome annual kindness lecture, “We neglect kindness at our peril – it is the glue that binds communities together.”
