ABSOLUTE Bowie, ‘Europe’s finest David Bowie tribute’, will be playing at Frome’s Cheese and Grain this Friday 3rd June.
The five-piece band, who have toured across Europe for the past eight years, will be bringing their tribute to the late music legend to Frome this week.
The audience can expect a journey through the many different personas of Bowie, from Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane through to The Thin White Duke and the late 80s.
Woody Woodmansey, former drummer of Bowie’s backing band, the Spiders from Mars, said, “Absolutely wicked. Watching Absolute Bowie put me back there again. For anyone who missed Bowie or fans who want to relive it, I definitely recommend it. As close to the real thing that you’ll get.”
Absolute Bowie will be supported by Bath band Ulysses: a pop-rock band that has toured with Rival Sons and members of the Black Crowes. The band will be releasing their newest album ‘Law and Order’ on Saturday 3rd June, and cites influence from the Rolling Stones, Thin Lizzy, Supergrass, and The Cars.
The show will start at 8pm. For more information or to buy tickets (£16) go to www.cheeseandgrain.com or call the box office on 01373 455420.
