A craft event celebrating Autumn was held recently at Active and In Touch’s Tuesday Group Meeting.
The two- hour session, expertly guided by Lucia Harley from Window Wanderland and Claire, resulted in a number of members happily creating cards and photos using leaves, herbs and wild flowers.
One Active and In Touch member, Janice, who after some experimentation decided she preferred a yellow background for her creation, rather than a white one, used leaves to produce the desired effect. She was delighted with her finished product which she intended to show to her daughter, before framing it and hanging it on her wall. Janice thoroughly enjoyed the session, feeling it was ‘something different’, which enabled her to bring her artistic skills to the fore.
Fellow member, Elsie, completed two prints, one on cloth and the other on paper using rosemary herbs, leaves and flowers. Not only did she enjoy the session, but the finished products were destined as gifts for her two daughters, one of whom lives in Australia. This will no doubt prove to be a wonderful reminder of the Autumn hues currently enjoyed in England.
Many thanks from Active and In Touch to Lucia and Claire for their guidance and support.
