FIELD Trip Festival returns for the third year this summer but at a new location in Bruton near Frome over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
The festival was started by two friends from Frome, Ryan Allcott and Jack Clink.
The intimate festival, which was shortlisted for Best UK Dance Event at this year’s UK Festival Awards, showcases the very best in House, Techno, Breaks and Drum and Bass.
It’s an exciting line up, with headlining DJ sets from Faithless and Leftfield. The Ministry of Sound stage will feature Yousef from Circus Records, the Viper Live takeover will see a special guest appearance from DJ Hype and Apex return to host their House & Techno stage, featuring music from Catz ‘n Dogz. In total, there will be more than 100 acts performing over three nights.
Ryan said, “For the first two years the festival was in Wiltshire but we were desperate to get it closer to our home town in Frome. We are both extremely proud of the town in which we live, and love how independent it has become in recent years.
“The festival is run alongside the Dream Big Ghana Foundation, a water sanitation project which is ran by Frome resident Dougal Croudace.
“Donations from part of the proceeds of Field Trip 2017 will go to the Dream Big Ghana Foundation to help build compost toilets in Ghana. Each toilet serves around 20 people, who otherwise have no access to sanitation facilities.
“Tickets are the bargain price of £69 per adult, for a three-day weekend of entertainment and camping. If you’re into something a bit more glamorous, check out the boutique camping and see Field Trip out in style in one of the pre-erected luxury bell tents from £42 per person.”
