THE new monthly Sunday Gathering event in Frome, that started in January, is fast becoming an alternative way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends old and new in the community.
Held monthly at the Bennett Centre on the second Sunday at 2pm, the family-friendly event is open to all, and includes live music, storytelling, singing, movement, contemplation, playfulness, friendship, kindness, wonder and tea and cake.
“Tell your friends, bring your family. This is the new Sunday afternoon!” said the organisers.
The Sunday Gathering is jointly run by Martha Oster (from the Good Heart), Ed Green (previously of the Captain Cactus band) and Anna Green (who previously ran Frome Sofar Sounds).
Ed says, “Our April Sunday Gathering happens to be on Easter Sunday and it’s a great opportunity to provide an alternative way for people to gather and commune together with songs, live music, storytelling, and contemplation. There’s also tea and cake and lots of opportunities to have a chat. And you can bring your kids along too.
“Why not come and see for yourself on Easter Sunday 9th April at 2pm in the Bennett Centre, Frome? Entry is free.”
