COOPER Hall invite you to an evening with David Owen Norris on Thursday 23rd January, 8pm.
They say, “We welcome multi-dimensional and (amongst a great many other things), a much-loved BBC Radio 3 presenter, David Owen Norris to host our second Cooper Hall Opera Club event. We invited him some time ago after he had used the hall to record an album in for Hyperion Records and were thrilled by his response:
“An attractive suggestion. What I should like to do is a repeat of something I did for the Barbican for the Britten Centenary – a live Building a Library on ‘Peter Grimes’, complete with videos as well as audio recordings. It was a very successful format – so much so that Radio 3’s Record Review has adopted it for some occasions – and the audience enjoyed it very much.”
