AS any writer knows, getting those words on paper can be a lonely, frustrating process. But members of The Write Place claim that writing together in their peaceful studios at Black Swan Arts banishes procrastination and boosts their productivity.
They invite all local wordsmiths to a Writers’ Tea Party at 2-4pm on Saturday 13th November to see the studios, meet other writers and chat about the highs and lows of their work over tea and cake. All newcomers will receive a voucher to write for 2 hours on a day that suits them.
The aim of The Write Place is to provide affordable hot desks for local writers in every genre from beginners to professionals. Members include fiction writers, journalists, poets and PhD students. The studios are open seven days a week – in person as well as on Zoom – so that members can fit their writing around family and work commitments.
Besides a distraction-free studio for writing together in companionable silence, there’s a separate Chat Room for relaxing and socialising. Everyone is Covid-careful and takes regular LF tests. Full membership costs less than £1 a day and visitors are always welcome at £5 for up to 4 hours. Find out more on www.writeplace.org.uk
