Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was assaulted at around 6.30pm on Friday 23rd February in Frome.
The 34-year-old man of no fixed abode was punched in the head by two other men as he walked under an archway on his way into Frome town centre from Willow Vale. The men also took his sleeping bag.
The victim then called police from a phone box in Scott Road. Officers attended, and finding him with facial injuries, requested an ambulance. The man was taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for treatment to a broken nose and bruising.
The man has been unable to give a description of his attackers, and officers are keen to hear from anyone who can help their investigation.
