The Frome Music Industry Network is a monthly networking event for musicians and all industries connected with the music business, held upstairs at the Three Swans in King Street, on the fourth Thursday of the month.
The next event will be on Thursday 26th March from 7.30pm with guest speaker, Dean G. Hill – artist manager. With a Masters in music business management, Dean is a seasoned-pro in A&R, management and marketing and endorsed by key industry players.
With a passion for identifying and supporting authentic talent, Dean has helped many artists reach the level required for negotiating and securing deals with major record labels, and clinched TV and film synch and radio placements for independent artists too.
Dean also pioneered the original ‘MySpace for Music in Britain’; a forerunner to Facebook before social media existed, which led to consulting for the BBC and the conceptual foundations for the BBC Introducing Platform.
Local singer/songwriter, Sara Vian set up the gatherings in response to her understanding that people need to meet out of cyberspace to build relationships, collaborate and support each other’s projects and businesses in the old fashioned goodwill spirit of sharing a beer (or your drink of preference).
