IN response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Ukraine, Black Swan Arts presents a new group exhibition.
More than 30 artists have donated their work to the exhibition, which will be sold via secret auction to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees.
Organisers say, “Artists for Ukraine is a community created by local and international artists, makers and creatives, borne out of a desire to support and fundraise for displaced Ukrainians. The cause is very close to our hearts – members of our community have friends and connections in Ukraine and Russia and are in daily contact with those affected by the conflict.
“We have been inundated with generous offers of support and kindness from the artistic and local communities. The resulting exhibition consists of more than 30 works exhibited in the Round Tower Gallery at Black Swan Arts and online at www.artistsforukraine. squarespace.com.
“You can support our efforts by visiting the exhibition, bidding on artworks in person or online, and by donating directly.
“All proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Frome Town Council’s twin town Ukrainian refugee appeal. Rabka-Zdrój in Poland, is preparing to offer first response help to over 500 Ukrainian refugees, including the provision of buses to transport refugees to a place of safety, and to feed, clothe and house people as they arrive.”
The exhibition is at Black Swan Arts, Round Tower Gallery, from 1st to 24th April. The late night opening will take place on Friday 8th April from 6-8pm – everyone is welcome.”
