Asda Frome is set to grow in size by 15 per cent, following the announcement that the supermarket is to embark on a huge refresh project – the biggest remodel of a store for Asda throughout the UK this year.
Under the revamp, Asda Frome will see the store take on 5,000 sq ft of extra space, increasing the store size to 36,000 sq ft in total. The company says the store’s new look and increased space will allow the store to offer more choice across all departments, with a focus on George Fashion and Home
They say that the Asda store, situated on Warminster Road, will provide more choice and an extra 15 per cent of shopping space to local Asda customers.
Shoppers will also see the Free From section double in size, meaning Frome shoppers with food allergies and intolerances will have more choice than ever before.
Asda Frome says the refresh will also see the transformation of the fresh produce, chilled and frozen aisles, with the aim of offering local customers a bigger and better shopping experience, with more product choices, whatever the customer’s budget.
Work has already begun and will continue until 4th September, with as little disruption as possible to shoppers.
Andrew Bateman, general store manager at Asda Frome said, “This refresh means we’ll be able to offer our customers more choice across all of our departments, including fresh, fashion and homeware.
“The colleagues here will be pulling together to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum throughout the transformation of the store. We’re all looking forward to revealing the refreshed Asda Frome in September.”
