FORMER students of Frome schools held their annual reunion at the college last month, accompanied by a tour given by current pupils.
The reunion was held by Frome Ex-students Association (FESA) in May.
Organiser Christopher Warren said, “Many thanks to Frome College for hosting the reunion.
“We were welcomed by principal Gavin Ball, other very helpful members of staff, and by a group of pupils who kindly volunteered to spend their Saturday afternoon talking to us and showing us around the site.
“FESA chair June Barnes welcomed everyone and thanked the staff of Frome College for their enthusiastic help.
“For the first time this year we also welcomed Frome Heritage Museum, and Diana Ingram put on an excellent display of old Frome Grammar School artifacts and encouraged FESA members to donate memorabilia to the museum.
“We all enjoyed coming back to the place that had such an influence of our lives over 50 years ago. It was good, too, to welcome a number of members who were visiting for the first time.
“We hope that current students will get the same pleasure when they return in 50 years time.”
