Beckington Preschool recently raised £500 for Frome counselling charity We Hear You (WHY).
On 21st June staff and children at the preschool toddled around the village and park to raise sponsorship for WHY, a charity that offers free emotional support to children and adults affected by cancer and other life threatening conditions in the local area.
Nicole Poa, chair of Beckington Preschool said, “We are absolutely delighted to have raised so much money for such a wonderful charity. I hope that everyone at the preschool is proud of their achievements.”
Helen Sprawson-White, fundraiser for We Hear You said, “It was a real pleasure to come along and meet some of the staff, children and parents at Beckington Preschool.
“The children all seemed to really enjoy taking part and we are so proud of them for raising such a fantastic amount of money.”
The £500 raised by the children will fund over 11 sessions of counselling for those in need of support at a difficult, confusing and emotional time.
