Getting ready to take down your Christmas decorations and tree? Time is running out to book for a charity Christmas Tree Collection in aid of Dorothy House.
The hospice has launched its third annual Christmas Tree Collection fundraiser in partnership with the Justhelping charity. Last year, their Christmas Tree Collection collected 1,000 trees and doubled the funds raised previously to over £13,000, Dorothy House hopes to increase this sum this year.
The charity is offering Christmas tree collections in Frome, between 11th-13th January.
Taking part is easy, visit www.charityxmastree collection.com type in your postcode to check that your area is covered, make a donation and list where your tree will be located. Dorothy House asks for a donation to help fund their specialist palliative and end -of-life care services provided free of charge to patients, their families and carers. All trees must be pre-booked online, ready for collection from 8am on Friday 11th January and clearly marked ‘Dorothy House.’ Trees can be collected from businesses, schools, churches and homes.
Verity Clark, community fundraiser for Dorothy House Hospice Care said, “This is our third Christmas tree collection and we’re looking forward to helping local people recycle their used Christmas trees, while also raising vital funds for Dorothy House. A big thank you to all our volunteers and our supporters for their generous help and thanks also to Bath and North East Somerset Council for the use of their recycling centre.”
