This Easter local company Aveling Adventure will be taking over Selwood Academy to create an exciting opportunity for young people in Frome.
Running for just two days on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th April, Aveling Adventure, which has previously held the climbing wall at the independent markets and organised the Adventure Fest, will host their Adventure DayCamps.
These two days will follow a programme of rock climbing, leap of faith, bush craft, archery, cargo nets and more to create an action-packed day for children aged seven to 16. Each day will consist of four different activities as well as free time play, challenges and a presentation.
Jenna from Aveling Adventure explained, “We have been asked by parents over the years to put on holiday clubs. We knew this was something we wanted to do but needed to make sure it would be fantastic first time round.
“Now we have our new activity the ‘mobile high ropes’ we can offer four more activities; Jacob’s Ladder, Cargo Net, Crate Stacking and Leap of Faith. We know we have activities to suit everyone.
“These days will give children the chance to learn new skills, develop existing skills and make new friends.”
The DayCamps will run from 8.30am and finish at 5pm, and an extra activity and late pick up at 6.30pm is available for £6 extra more.
Spaces are extremely limited and filling up fast. Each day costs £30 per child or a two-day pass is available for £55.

Jasmine, 14, was one of the first people to try the new high ropes.
She said, “I was pretty scared but excited based on the fact that I’ve never experienced anything like this before. When I first tried the leap of faith, it was actually really fun and thrilling jumping from such a height. It feels farther from the ground than it looks.
“I never thought I would be able to do the Jacob’s ladder but I did! it was amazing! Would definitely try again!”
