FROME Bridge Club raised £1,010 for Fair Frome as well as gifts of food and toiletries worth £200 to £300, at a charity bridge event at Wesley Church last month.
“The successful event was organised Margaret Donkin and Ray Nicholson and consisted of a game of competitive bridge with a break for tea and mince pies as well as a raffle,” says member of the club, Marianne Lewin.”
“The event was attended by 44 people (11 tables) and the two pairs of winners were, Stan Christie and Eve Barwell, playing North/South, and Diane Bishop and David Clayton playing East West. All of us who went enjoyed the event and are grateful to Margaret and Ray for organising it. As previously, the Church allowed us to use their premises for free.
