BROOKOVER Farm welcomes you to their brand new family attraction, the animal farm, where children can meet and feed the friendly farm animals, play in the play area and search for fairies in the woods.
Brookover Farm is offering the opportunity for children to learn about different animals, nature and let off some steam in a safe and friendly environment.
The farm says, “They can pet and feed a variety of animals including Shetland ponies, pygmy goats, rabbits, hens and guinea pigs with a future addition of miniature donkeys.
“As well as feed them, they can learn all about the animals and how to look after them. Around the site there are information cards informing them about trees, nature and birds and about conservation.
“There is also a fairy wood that they can explore, finding all 15 fairy houses – some of which are yet to be found, could you be the first one to find them all? Also, can you help save the fairies from the goblin under the bridge, he likes to steal the fairies’ wands and hide them in the pony house!
“Once you’ve saved the day, reward yourself with a trip around the track with pedal ride-on tractors, have fun on the trampoline, create your own imaginative adventures on the playground, slides, swings, crocodile see-saw, play house, fire engine and tree house. Take a break for lunch in the picnic areas where you can also watch the animals at the same time.
“There is free on-site parking with wheelchair access and refreshments such as coffee and cream tea available throughout the day.
“Don’t miss the farm’s exclusive visitors on Sunday 2nd September as they welcome unicorn ponies for the children to ride around the pony track.”
Heather, owner of Brookover Farm at Orchardleigh, Frome said, “I want the children to enjoy the outside, interact with animals they don’t usually meet and appreciate them, and create their own imaginations.
“I want people to enjoy the space, it is an ongoing project we want to continue to grow and add more animals. Families can sit and enjoy their refreshments with the animals around them and watch their children in the play area at the same time.
“Everyone is welcome, and I look forward to seeing everybody. The more people that come, the more animals we can bring in for people to see and for children to enjoy, stroke and get in contact with them.”
Brookover Animal Farm is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays 12.00pm – 4.30pm. An introductory offer for adults £4; children £2.50 and under 3s free.
