Trio Paradis return to the Bennett Centre for their 2020 series of lunchtime palm court trio concerts on Wednesday 5th February at 1pm, with concerts continuing on the first Wednesday of every month. February’s concert is Iberia! – a selection of Spanish music by composers including de Falla, Albeniz and Bizet.
Forthcoming concerts include a programme of music by women composers: Daughters of the Muse on 4th March, including works by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Mel Bonis and Rebecca Clarke, and an April Fool’s Day concert with a few surprises thrown in: What’s in a Name?
The concerts are informal, with cafe-style seating, last approx 45-50 minutes and are suitable for all ages, including families. Doors open for refreshments at 12.45pm. Entry is free with a retiring collection. Seats can be reserved at http://www.ticketsource.co.uk and Trio Paradis now have a new website with details of all their concerts, http://www.trioparadis.com.
Organiser Jacquelyn Bevan said, “We have a team of volunteers, but with the increase in our audience, now need one or two more people who would be happy to bake some lovely cakes for our concerts. If you can help, please email trioparadis@gmail.com.
