LOCAL counselling charity We Hear You will be joining a pop-up shop run by the Rotary Club of Frome in the Westway next week, and is asking for local people to donate to its fundraising.
We Hear You (WHY), formerly Positive Action on Cancer, will be joining the Rotary Club of Frome shop in the Westway precinct from Monday 12th September 2016 for one week.
WHY is asking for donations of good quality bric-a-brac, clothes, books, DVDs, CDs and baby/children goods. Why not have a good clear out and help to support local charity?
Fundraising assistant Helen Sprawson-White said, “As I’m sure everyone can imagine, we are currently experiencing an ever-growing demand for our service.
“We really value the opportunity the Rotary Club has given us in sub-letting the shop to us for this week and really appreciate the support our community gives us both in donating items and buying goods. The funds raised will make a huge difference in helping us reach those in need of our support in Frome.”
WHY offers free, professional counselling to any children or adults affected or bereaved by cancer and other life threatening illnesses in the area.
The charity receives no government funding and relies hugely on the generosity of the community.
To donate items to the pop-up shop, deliver them directly to the shop in the Westway (next door to the Co-op) at any time between 9.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Saturday.
