The long awaited first snooker event of the season was won by Steve Clarkson who beat Dean Withey in the final.
There was another full house for this popular event and this time handicaps were brought in to assist those players that don’t play in the leagues and it certainly made the evening more interesting.
The table winners of the round robin stage of the competition were :- Table 1 Matt Snelgrove (28):
Table 2 Paddy Buckland (28): Table 3 Dean Withey (0): Table 4 Steve Clarkson (14)
Derek White would like to thank all those that took part to make it an enjoyable evening and also to Annie Scane for providing the excellent supper.
The Club is always looking to welcome more members interested in playing snooker and these events certainly help new members to meet other players. Keep an eye on the notice board for details of the next event.
