The latest members’ snooker event, held at Chester House Social Club, saw a change of format.
The club reports, “Instead of the usual round robin on each table, all players played a single frame game against each other. After the games had finished, Matt Snelgrove and Marcus Owen had only lost one game, so a play-off followed.
“It was a very closely-fought game, with Matt winning a black ball finish to register his first event after reaching a previous semi-final. Marcus did really well to reach the play-off in his first event.
“Thanks go to all those taking part and to Annie Scane for another delicious supper.
