FROME charity We Hear You (WHY) is looking for local sportspeople to take part in this year’s Frome Triathlon and raise money for the charity.
WHY has been chosen as one of Frome Triathlon Club’s charity partners for the event on Sunday 21st August. As part of the club’s sponsorship, WHY has ten free spaces for participants to support the charity in its work within the community.
Helen Sprawson-White , assistant fundraiser for We Hear You said, “We are thrilled to be working with the Frome Triathlon Club this year. It is always a popular event and has grown year on year.
“The money that our team can raise through sponsorship will fund emotional support for children and adults affected by cancer and life threatening conditions in our community. These partnerships are invaluable in securing the service and ensuring that we reach those in need of our help. It should be a fantastic day!”
The triathlon, now in its fourth year, runs annually and is based at Frome Leisure Centre. It involves a 400m pool swim, a 25km cycle ride and a 5km run. Relay teams of three are also welcomed.
