THE Batcombe Film Society’s April film showing is Hit the Road.
“Hit the Road is our final film of the season on Friday 21st April and is an affecting comedy-drama about the complex dynamics and conflicting emotions within a family,” says the society. “A middle-aged couple, their two sons and ailing dog are travelling through remote and rugged north-western Iran. Conditions are hot and uncomfortable and the atmosphere in the car is tense but where are they headed and why have they embarked on this journey?
“The film expertly melds humour with quiet devastation and is set to an evocative Iranian pop soundtrack and a backdrop of often spectacular scenery.
“The film will be shown at Batcombe Jubilee Hall, doors open 7pm for 7.45pm screening. For further information, please contact Liz Hunt on 01373 850304.”
