Green and Healthy Frome, a partnership programme between Edventure Frome, Frome Medical Practice, and the town council is seeking a new communications lead.
The initiative recently received a successful bid for further funding from the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund and they are ramping up their activities to build on their pioneering programme which promotes people’s health and wellbeing, whilst also reducing carbon emissions.
Green and Healthy Frome say, “Are you a storyteller with a passion for inspiring positive action? This is an exciting opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to communicate climate and health outcomes for people in Frome and beyond.
“We are looking for a new communications lead who can take our storytelling and communications to the next level. You will be joining an established programme and have the opportunity to apply your creativity to improve our reach and messaging.
“The purpose of this role is to inspire people to get involved and take action. We want to tell stories of the benefits climate and health action can have on individuals, communities and the planet, acknowledging those who are already working hard to create this change, and inspiring those who might not ordinarily get involved.
“The role will involve creating content across the web, print and social media, alongside community participation and engagement. You will be collaborating across teams and coordinating cross-partner communications, as well as coordinating freelancers to deliver toolkits and a community-led film project.
“If there are specific parts of the role that speak to your skills and interests, please let us know and we’d be happy to discuss them. We’re also open to discussing job shares. The extended deadline for applications is Monday 22nd May, although we will be reviewing applications and scheduling interviews on a rolling basis so early applications are strongly encouraged.”
